New shop and quick buy option for shopping lists 3

12 Aug 2026, 23:53

Very short news today.

We have added new store - Zapagames. See what they offer.

Second bit of news is that for shopping lists, we have added quick buy option for Playsum. Instead of going to the store page, adding to cart, repeating for each game and only then going to the shopping cart, we can send you directly to the shopping cart and fill it for you. It should smooth the whole process a lot. You can see it in the shopping list I shared in the original news.

This won't be possible for all shops, but I do hope more of them will support this in the future. Oh, and there's also a new config option to prefer shops with quick buy.

Shopping list, Community notes and game page changes 11

Shopping lists

We all love lists, right? If Waitlist is our version of wishlists, you can think of Shopping lists as our version of shopping carts. They are sharable, configurable, and users without account can use them too.

I created and shared one, take a look.

You can't use them to buy games directly, but hear me out.

The original idea was to help during large sales, when you might consider buying multiple games at once. When you put games in here, you will have see three "purchase orders" computed: Best price, Balanced, and Least shops.

Best price will show you where to buy these games from for the cheapest. Least shops will try to find a purchase order from minimal number of shops (I imagine it will usually just be one - Steam) but it might be more expensive. Balanced is somewhere in between, where it will try to get you the best possible combination from 2 or 3 stores. These purchase orders are then further configurable (preference of favorite shops, filter DRM, hand pick shops), or even fully customizable if you want to build a completely different one.

Now, I don't expect everyone is buying multiple games at once all the time, but you can use shopping lists also as a list of games you want to keep your eye on, but maybe don't want to put them into Waitlist. If you don't have account, this is how you can keep track of games if you don't delete Cookies and visit ITAD at least once a month.

You can also share shopping lists. When you do, it won't be tied to your account in any way, and it doesn't share purchase orders, because everyone's preferences may be different, but this can help if you want to send someone a list of hidden gems from current sale, or if someone asks "which DLCs are worth it for this game".

At least that's the idea :)

You will find new buttons with pin icon, and to get to your Shopping list you click on the pin in the header.

Community notes

Second big feature of this update are community notes. Community notes are meant to be used to share information that might be important to know before purchase. As an example: I was thinking of buying Watch_Dogs the other day, and I learnt from reviews and discussions that online features don't work in Steam version. This is something I imagine community notes to be used for.

Another example might be when two shops sell the Gold Edition of the same game, but on one of the shops, the Gold Edition was not updated or does not contain some bonus content. This is not really something that would trigger splitting up the game, because it would just make this more confusing without extra info, so instead, community notes should be used for this.

Community notes will be moderated. Anyone with account can submit edits, and you will be able to check note's history. However, we won't, unless it's something really obvious, always confirm that the information in the note is correct, we assume we have community that doesn't want to poison this.

If you find the information in the note incorrect or outdated, you are more than welcome to submit an edit. This also does not replace the current reporting features.

We are not really sure how (or whether at all), you're going to use Community notes, there are no strict rules as of now what can be submitted, but as I said, the premise is that it should have information that are useful prior to purchase.

Game page changes

The rest of the update we will handle quickly. You can see multiple changes on game pages:

  • Favorites have been merged with pricing table, I felt like there were too many different sections
  • Giveaways will now show at the top of pricing table, so you shouldn't miss it when the game is free. Example
  • added package comparison table. We'll see how well will this work in reality, pretty much only source for package contents right now is Steam, and they don't make it easy to be honest - look for link below the "Found in following packages" table. For example on Victoria 3 page.
  • price statistics at the top of the game page now respect your hidden shops
  • you can get all time low/1 year low/3 month low for individual shops (hover your mouse over the store low column in price table)
  • subscription box is more compact now
  • updated DLC parent box - Rain World Downpour
  • updated package contents and list of DLCs - you can go directly to the store now
  • simplified bundle listings
  • there's a new Steam reviews chart in stats that will show rating over time. Admittedly, Steam.db does this better, but I had data so I thought why not. Best example is probably No Man's Sky

Wait and Collect

Both Wait and Collect now has more granular options. You can choose what will happen when you click on the respective buttons. So if you don't want to choose rules or categories, you can turn it off now.

Cancel handling has also been improved - e.g. if you cancel rule selection, game won't be added to your Waitlist anymore.

And last, but not least, you can now choose multiple default rules. Up to 5. Both as generic default and for individual linked profiles.

New menu, new art, more theming 12

21 Jun 2026, 22:04

We have new menu. Yes, I copied the Steam store one. It's way less menu-y, and much more dashboard-y, which gives me freedom to do more things in it.

An example of such a thing is the new Heat submenu, which will show you games that were recently heated. You may find some gems before they rise to the top of the pile this way. Or take a look at user submenu - you'll see games you have recently visited there.

You'll also notice that it's not just the new menu structure, there's also more art now. Some of the sections got their dedicated banner, which I feel add a little bit of personality to them. All this is then tied together in a new (default) theme, Thaumaturgy. Final theming change you can notice on home page, where your selected theme is put a little bit more forward with a thematic header.

All of the new art was created by Matěj Špatenka, check out his Instagram if you like his style. And if you like new banners, I'll put some posters that you can print for yourself on our Patreon.

That's about it for now. Next big update will bring a new feature, something new will be added to game pages.

PS: Let me know in the comments which banner is your favorite. I love the one for Giveaways.
PS2: Section banners won't change with the theme, that would be too much art to commission :(

Augmented Steam v4.7.0 2

21 May 2026, 00:28

Augmented Steam v4.7.0, has just been submitted for review.

  • fixed inventory quick sell buttons after Steam's breaking change
  • refactored custom links to use their own box on app pages, instead of Steam's report/share (#2324)
  • added SLUG_ and SLUG- as a replacement options for custom links (#2276)
  • card prices are now being fetched on demand, to prevent Steam's throttling; I've also changed to different endpoint, which might help a little too
  • added option to import ignore list to ITAD - this is one way only, and it won't remove ignored games when you remove them from Steam, for now it's just additive; if you enable this, you will need to reconnect to ITAD to authorize with new permissions
  • added option to show wishlist ranking in other than priority sorts
  • added ProtonDb search as an option to Context menu (#2312)
  • added date of last update to VaporLens (#2314)
  • fixed highlights priority - wishlist should have higher priority than followed (#2273)
  • fixed tags not showing up in search (#2272)
  • made improvements to purchase date fetching, should be more accurate now (#2309)
  • added length indicator when writing a guide (#2260)
  • improved broadcast removal feature (#2253)
  • improved handling of ITAD connection expiry - you can now get popup that would prompt about reconnect, see options
  • review sorting will no longer remember last sort, but instead goes to default - prevents long loading times when opening profile that has large number of reviews

Bundles, more comments, blog feed, and API improvements 10

18 May 2026, 22:41

What started as simple let's add comments to bundles, turned into a much larger thing - let's get that out of the way first - Bundles, Vouchers, Giveaways and Misc. deals now have comments. You can also see latest 100 comments on a standalone page.

The main course though... Bundles received rather significant facelift and some new features.

Facelift is obvious. I tried to make both bundle detail pages and bundle list look a little bit more orderly, easier to parse, with less visual noise. Especially bundle lists were very guilty of this. Let me know whether I suceeded, I think it's a teeny tiny bit better now.

I also mentioned new features. Bundles now support Build your own type of bundles. Bundle value will be correctly computed for you when you select games, and price tiers are listed in an organized way. See an example in the latest bundle by Fanatical. Oh, and you can share your selection with others since the URL will update when you pick games. We also support "add-on" tiers, that we could have seen in a Boomer Shooter Bundle recently. Games in the bundle can now be sorted and tiers can be collapsed.

As you can see from the title though, there's more. When I introduced blogs last time, you asked for RSS. That's now a thing. You can get our posts directly in your feed.

There were also some bug fixes, the one that's most worth mentioning is fixed date inputs, so if you encountered some bugs when you were trying to record a purchase date for your games, it should work better now.

Last, but not least, I have also worked on API. You can find full changelog on GitHub. If you are developer, it's important that you verify your email so you don't get lower rate limits. Check changelog for more details.

Avatars, blog and comments 18

27 Apr 2026, 22:19

For the first time in... What year is it? Oh my god...

Let's just say that we finally have a place where I can directly communicate with you what's new and what's going on, instead of relying on 3rd parties, like our Discord server or Steam group!

Along with that, we also have comments now. For now, comments are only here, under "blogs", but with how I built them, it should be easy to plop them anywhere now. I was thinking about adding comments under bundles, so we could discuss them. Maybe also vouchers, because those tend to have various limits and requirements that we can't always catch in how we track them. For now though, let's just test them here, and we'll see if it's going to be managable ':) Comment system by itself is easy, I didn't want to go overboard, but it ended up being so much work...

Last but not least, you can set your own avatar now. As of right now, there are not many places where it will show up - basically just here in the comments (and in the header), but I have plans for new things I'd like to do this year. You'll see.
